Piloting a new path for MES go-live readiness and reporting certification metrics using T-MSIS

Information

An April 2022 State Medicaid Director Letter released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) described how they will work with states to avoid redundancy and minimize administrative burden to collect and report outcome metrics for Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) certification with existing data sources, such as the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS).

Join Mathematica’s T-MSIS experts in a roundtable discussion about the feasibility of using T-MSIS data to (1) test MES module go-live readiness during design, development, and implementation (DDI); (2) develop outcomes-based certification metrics and (3) report CMS-required monthly certification metrics during operations. Mathematica will share insights and lessons learned from mapping the CMS required streamlined modular certification (SMC) to the T-MSIS data quality measures and validation rules included in Outcomes Based Assessment (OBA). We will also share testing strategies to compare modular T-MSIS data to legacy MMIS data over time so that states can be confident that MES modules are ready for go-live and function as designed. We look forward to a lively and engaging discussion with our audience!
